On this page you can see there’s quite a variation in my work. Some pieces tend more towards realism, some expressionism. The pieces seen at the bottom of this gallery are more simple and many I might even call “cartoony.”
Scroll past the gallery and you’ll find information on sizing, pricing etc. for your own pet portrait!

Information on pricing, sizes, materials, method
Prices for animal portraits range from 100 dollars for smaller pieces (smaller than 11 by 8.5 inches) to thousands for very large pieces (4 by 4 feet). Pricing also varies depending on number of figures (animals), complexity of composition, materials, shipping costs and projected time spent working on piece. Shipping costs are included in price. Please e-mail me at tlbrowntl@gmail.com and we can discuss what you're looking for and pricing.
For my portraits I like to use a variety of photos to draw inspiration from. This also enables me to get a better feel for your pet’s personality. Typically I like to meet my subjects and take photos myself; however due to the current pandemic I understand that this may be impossible. I will gladly accept any and all digital copies of photos of the subject and as much stories and information that you can muster about them.
Pieces are done on high quality 100% cotton paper using various materials including vine and compressed charcoal, pastels, graphite, gesso et al. The smaller simple-line pieces done with sharpie can be done using other papers such as Okawara made from the Japanese Kozo or Mulberry plant.
Digital pieces can be e-mailed in JPEG format.
